Kory Aversa Eagle Ike Reese Holiday Bazaar Craft Show Philadelphia Senior Center

There is no better place to welcome the holidays than the Avenue of the Arts – where music, shopping, tradition, celebrity and food come together.   On the Avenue, Philadelphia Senior Center brings together all of those elements on Saturday, December 5, 2009, from 9:00am – 4:00pm,  for the "Annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Bazaar" and pancake Bbreakfast.  Enjoy handmade crafts, entertainment, lunch specials, special guests, free door prizes, and a pancake breakfast.  Former Philadelphia Eagles Linebacker and WIP 610 Broadcaster Ike Reese will be on hand to sign autographs and give away Eagles tickets.

Come enjoy 30+ vending tables with handmade items, baked goods, and gently used items.  Santa will stop into town for a special visit during the morning and afternoon.  Other event highlights will include: 

  • 9:00am — Free scarf/glove giveaway to first 200 guests
  • 9:00am – 4:00pm — Vendors
  • 9:30am – 11:30am — Pancake breakfast
  • 11:30am — Concert by PSC Main Branch Chorus
  • 10:30am – 4:00pm — Cabot Cheese samples
  • 11:00am – 2:00pm — Lunch
  • 12:30pm – 1:30pm — Ike Reese autographs
  • 1:30pm — Eagles ticket giveaway

The pancake breakfast will include hot, fresh pancakes made on the spot! It will also include orange juice, coffee, water, yogurt parfaits, home fries, and beef sausage.  The breakfast will immediately be followed by a special musical concert celebrating the sounds of the season. The concert will feature the PSC Main Branch Chorus, along with Siobhan Groves. Cost: $8 for meal and concert, $4 for concert only, $6 for meal only.  For tickets, call (215) 546-5879, ext. 209. 

Volunteers are needed for the day of the event, and for set-up in advance.  Flea market and bake sale items wanted! Vending tables on sale now.  Call (215) 546-5879, ext. 277 or ext. 248.
