Come join me on Thursday, July 15, 2010 for a night of bowling, drinks and a great cause!

Generation Appreciation Philadelphia GenPhilly Kory Aversa GenPhilly and Delaware Valley Alzheimer’s Association Junior Committee presents a “Pet-tastic Happy Hour” to raise support for furry companions of homebound seniors on Thursday, July 15, 2010.  The event will take place from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at North Bowl, in Northern Liberties, at 909 North 2nd Street.

The event is free, but all guests are asked to bring a pet accessory and/or gift card for pet companions owned by frail and isolated older adults living in Philadelphia.  Pets can offer older adults unconditional love, relive isolation, and help elders to cope with loss.  Accessories can be new toys, unopened treats, gift cards, dog bones, water bowls, cat nip, PETCO or PETSMART gift card, etc.

Happy hour will feature drink specials, discounted bowling and networking with other young professionals.  North Bowl is near the SEPTA Spring Garden stop.  There is off-street parking available.

RSVP is requested by visiting genphillyhh.eventbrite.com.  Please become a fan of GenPhilly on Facebook!
