In 2010, I volunteered with the East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District for their sold out event, "Flavors of the Avenue." I had a great time and met dozens of new friends. This year, I am again helping East Passyunk Avenue by volunteering and recruiting for "Flavors." Join me!
"Flavors on the Avenue" will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2011, on East Passyunk Avenue, between Dickinson and Morris streets. The event is one of Philadelphia's most exciting food festivals — with East Passyunk Avenue's award-winning restaurants offering samples of their signature dishes and drinks under a big top tent.

Last year, we had more than 1,000 people — with hundreds of people being turned away at the door. This year, they expect another sell out! Help make it a big success.
There are many volunteer spots to fill, including the following roles and shifts:
- 8am – 12pm – Setup
- 11am – 5pm - Registration, work the door, bartend, and hand out information
- 4pm – 8pm – Breakdown
Volunteers are also needed to serve as "Chef's Assistants" between 8am – 5pm. "Assistants" will assist the restaurants with prepping and serving during the day. This would be a fun opportunity for anyone interested in food!
If you are interested in helping out please send your availability and contact information to Jenny at firstname.lastname@example.org.
