My Night with Andrew Cunanan runs in QFEST shorts program.Running now until July 23, 2012, the festival will be screening 107 films – including 42 feature films, 13 documentaries, and 52 short films, 7 World Premieres, 1 North American Premiere, 2 U.S. Premieres, 16 East Coast Premieres, and 26 Philadelphia Premieres. With so much to see, there’s guaranteed to be something for everyone. QFest is bringing the very best in LGBT comedy, drama, and romance, while also tackling transgender issues, and the hot-button issues of immigration and the legalization of same-sex marriage!

Artistic Achievement in Directing – Rose Troche & Career Tribute Interview on Saturday, July 21, 4:45pm
Rose TrocheRose Troche is an award-winning writer-director-producer whose first feature Go Fish (co-written and co-produced with the film’s star, Guinevere Turner), premiered to critical acclaim at the Sundance Film Festival in 1994.  While her newest project Concussion (2012), written and directed by first-time filmmaker Stacie Passon and produced and mentored by Troche, won’t be completed until the fall, QFest audiences are in for a treat. The festival has secured permission to show some sneak peek clips of Concussion as part of a special tribute to honor Troche as the recipient of QFest 2012 Artistic Achievement. Join us on Saturday July 21st at 4:45pm in Ritz East 2 as we honor Rose Troche PLUS stay for her special 90 minute on-stage interview with film journalist Gary Kramer. The interview will include selected clips (including some never before seen shorts) to highlight Rose Troche’s extensive body of film and television work. — Carol Coombes
