After last night’s grand fireworks display and concert on Benjamin Franklin Parkway, we’re calling out for more, more, MORE! Luckily, Yards and fellow blogger Philly Food Dude bring us Country & ‘Cue to keep the Independence Weekend fun rolling along. Tickets are still on sale with options to meet every price range. We’ll be on hand tapping our toes to the bluegrass with craft beer in hand. Join us for the good ‘ole American fun!
As a salute to the Stars & Stripes, there will be of Country & ‘Cue at the brewery on Friday, July 5th from 4PM to 10PM. Three bands will play five sets of bluegrass and country tunes; three of Philly’s top food trucks will offer their own unique preparations of barbecue; and Yards, a symbol of American entrepreneurship, will pour their quality hand-crafted brews, including the Ales of the Revolution that commemorate our country’s patriots. Attendees are encouraged to throw on their cowboy hats, boots, and Red, White and Blue for a grilling and chilling good time!
A $40 ticketed package purchased at Ticketleap gets one entry to the event, including a two-hour pre-Game at Morgan’s Pier from 2PM to 4PM where discounted Yards drafts will be offered only to ticket holders. The ticketed package provides 5 hours of live music, 3 food items, 3 beers, a tour of Yards Brewery, and automatic entry into a raffle for a special case of Yards beer.
Not in your budget? Don’t fret.. they know patriotic fun needs to have a price that every Joe American can afford. Enjoy a $10 cover charge for music upon entry, and food and drink will be pay-as-you-go.
- Bluegrass band Raven Hill to kick off the celebration
- Acoustic Bluegrass band Passyunk Pickers
- High-energy, good-time Country band Whiskey Revolvers
If you are heading out for a grand ‘ole time tonight, bring your appetite, love for all things patriotic and make sure to tweet us your best pics! We’ll be at Country & ‘Cue from 6pm to 9pm, before heading over for free entertainment and more street food at Serrano’s Street Fare on 2nd Street. If you see us, make sure to say “howdy partner!”
