The social season gets off to a roaring start as Hair O’The Dog returns for a special 20th anniversary installment this Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel. The special milestone seemed like the perfect time for us to check out this “must attend” event. We hope you can join us for our first time! As an incentive, we’re even giving away tickets at the end of today – enter for a free pair and start planning your outfits! (Enter NOW deadline today at 6pm)
“Let the Good Times Roar” and get ready for a “Gatsby-Inspired” evening filled with flappers, zoot suits, whiskey and gin along with extravagant décor and top-notch entertainment. Dance until you drop with a very special DJ set and live performance by Havana Brown. Havana, best known for her smash hit “We Run the Night”, featuring Pitbull, will take the event to a whole new level this year as Hair O’ the Dog sets an all-new precedent for the gala with its first ever performance by a certified triple-platinum artist.
Partygoers will wag their tails off with sounds by Philly Hot List “Best DJ”, Perry Angelozzi, and Hair O’ the Dog founder and DJ, Dan Cronin. As the evening roars on, additional electrifying performances include the band The Business, Bryen Boyle of Mr. Greengenes and Philly’s own Jade Starling, who will perform her new single “Insomniak.” In addition, James Lynch of the Dropkick Murphys will be in attendance to kick start the night.
Hair O’ The Dog always helps a deserving charity, and this year is no exception. A portion of the proceeds from this year’s gala will benefit the Claddagh Fund, founded by Ken Casey of the Dropkick Murphys. The Claddagh Fund uses a grassroots approach to help raise money for underfunded nonprofits across the country that assist vulnerable, disenfranchised children, veterans and those recovering from addictions.
For those who want to ‘party til the bark of dawn’, the official Hair O’ The Dog After Party will kick off at G Lounge, Philadelphia’s sophisticated nightlife destination. Admission and transportation to the after party is complimentary to all ticket holders; however, space is limited on a first come first served basis.
