More than 10 years ago our founder Kory Aversa moved to Philadelphia from a small New York town.  He was looking for a fun and unique place that would keep him on his toes with constant adventures, interesting foods, endless opportunities and great people.   He found everything he was looking for in Philly and so much more…

  • Philly is a place where you can set out on a new ADVENTURE every weekend.  From historic scavenger hunts, to soaring on the flying trapeze, to one of the world’s largest arts festivals, to swimming with the sharks, to nearly a dozen LGBT sports teams, Philly has something fun and unique for everyone, at every turn, all year long.
  • Philly is home to some of the country’s best FOOD and top chefs.  While their gourmet treats are worth an eat, Philly is also the place where America goes to eat dessert first, and follow it up with an endless combination of comfort foods and flavorful drinks.  Whether it be a cheese steak cookie, Tastykake beef sliders, beer-flavored cupcakes,  Philly soft pretzels, adult “cake” milkshakes or authentic canollis, Philly has something sweet and tasty to please everyone’s palette.
  • Philly is home to unique and effective OPPORTUNITIES to give, grow and learn.   Endless opportunities to give back exist in every subject (arts, culture, history, oh my!) and in every neighborhood.  Around every corner, you can take a class, join a meetup, learn a new skill or find a new passion.
  • Philly has some of the most interesting and loyal PEOPLE in the world.  Meet me on Shunk Street after the Phillies take the World Series, or catch me on Two Street after the Mummer’s Parade and you will see what I mean.  Philly folks know how to work hard and play harder (while still finding time to hit the shore for the summer).
This personal blog celebrates Kory’s favorite parts of America’s city of brotherly love.  Thanks for coming along for the ride!
