When we hear the words fundraising and nonprofit we often dream up images of golf outings, suit/ tie galas and donor appeal letters.  Raising money for a good cause doesn’t have to involve the ordinary or expected – at least not when you are City of Hope Philadelphia!

Tonight, we’re breaking out our leg warms and a big ‘ole bottle of hairspray for the 17th Annual HopeCuts Hair Competition. Join us for some hair-raising fun, with an 80s twist as Philadelphia’s top salons present outrageous displays of hair and makeup during Stray Cat Strut : A Tribute to the 80s. Festivities kick-off tonight at 8pm at Voyeur Night Club. The night’s packed agenda includes great music, live performances, prizes, drink specials, dancing and the hair competition. Categories will include:

  • Best in Show
  • Best Make Up
  • Best Use of Hair Color
  • Most Intricate
  • Most Outrageous
  • Best Use of Hairball Theme

Guest judges will include hair industry professionals, media representatives, theater professionals, bloggers and the general public.  Philly Loves Fun is proud to be selected as a first-time judge for 2012!

Strut on down to Voyeur tonight and pay only $10 with a VIP pass, and $25 without one.  VIP passes are found at participating salons,  retail shops, restaurants, cafes and other venues around town.  If you can’t find one, email kory@phillylovesfun.com.
